Back to the Moral Center

Against incredible odds, Governor Howard Dean, M.D. has been elected Chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

It's a very welcome surprise. His goal to empower the grassroots, helping state parties become more effective, and ensuring support for local candidates at all levels will be a welcome shot in the arm for a party beset by apathy.

Even more important, to paraphrase Jesse Jackson, it's about time we move back to the center - the moral center, and to get there, we need an outsider who will ask, "Is it right?" instead of "Is it expedient?"

Thank you Governor Dean for taking the risk and stepping up to the plate!
